Akim Funk Buddha

Akim AKA Funk Buddha is a performance artist based in New York City. Akim travels the world learning about different cultures and traditions. He uses what he learns and integrates the stories in his own body of work. Hip Hop Kecak was born from a desire to integrate elements of beatboxing into Kecak, the Balinese Hindu dance and music tradition. After discovering the Tuvan throat singing tradition he is now an accomplished throat singer as well as a dancer, beatboxer and emcee.
